During Resolution’s Good Divorce Week (10-14 November), the team at Edward Cooke Family Law, along with many family law professionals across the country, highlight the importance of a non-confrontational approach to divorce and separation. With family courts facing significant delays, it is more important than ever for separating couples to consider all their options.

Resolution members follow a Code of Practice which commits us to minimising conflict; supporting parents to reduce the impact of divorce on children; and helping people find a better way forward for them. Whilst in some instances court does prove necessary, in the vast majority of cases it is possible to achieve a solution through other, less adversarial, more cost-effective routes.
