Edward Cooke Shortlisted for Financial Remedies Solicitor of the Year Award

We are proud to announce that Edward Cooke is a finalist in the Class Legal Financial Remedies Awards 2026. Edward has been shortlisted in the 'Financial Remedies Solicitor of the Year' category. 

This category celebrates financial remedies practitioners who make substantive contributions to financial remedies law, with a particular emphasis on NCDR and costs proportionality. In addition, finalists are celebrated for their additional activities benefiting the legal community, such as their approach to leadership and mentoring and their promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion. 

About the Financial Remedies Awards 2026

The Financial Remedies Awards celebrate outstanding achievements and contributions in the field of financial remedies and will take place on Thursday 15 October in London. 

Speaking upon the announcement, Edward commented: 

"I'm delighted to be recognised alongside such an impressive pool of finalists. Financial remedy matters are central to our work at Edward Cooke Family Law, helping separating couples reach fair settlements outside court wherever possible.

Alongside developing our own firm's work in the financial remedies sphere, I am proud to be playing a role in developing a conversation across the profession as to how financial remedy work can better support the needs of our clients. The recent Family Solutions Group report, which I co-authored, explores how this might be achieved, including ways to promote more non-court dispute resolution and considering the welfare of the child in financial remedies work.
