Edward Cooke British Family Law Awards Finalists

We are delighted to have been shortlisted for three awards in the inaugural British Family Law Awards 2024, launched by Today’s Media, publishers of the daily news publication Today’s Family Lawyer. The awards recognise and celebrate excellence across the family law community.

We are finalists in the following categories:

- Family Mediator of the Year – Edward Cooke

- Boutique Family Law Firm of the Year

- Best Place to Work

The team are delighted about these nominations, coming hot on the heels of Edward winning the Family Law Partner of the Year Award at the LexisNexis Family Law Awards earlier this week.

Director Lauren Guy commented:

“We are incredibly proud to be finalists in three categories in these prestigious awards.

To have been recognised not only for excellence in mediation, with Edward shortlisted for Family Mediator of the Year, but also for the firm to be shortlisted for the Boutique Family Law Firm and Best Place to Work Awards is really rewarding. We strive both to deliver excellence for our clients and to build a supportive and collaborative workplace where everyone is valued, and we are delighted to be recognised in this way.

We wish all the finalists the very best and look forward to the award ceremony in January.”

About the British Family Law Awards

The British Family Law Awards was developed by Today’s Media to be a wholly independent event, bringing the very best of the family law community together from across the country. There are 14 categories, all with carefully curated criteria, designed to showcase the incredible work of lawyers who work tirelessly to promote and provide access to justice for so many.

The ceremony will be hosted by Joanna Gosling, the former BBC news presenter, who is now a family law mediator herself.

Each entry has been reviewed by a panel of experts from across the family and wider legal sector and we are one of 44 firms to have been shortlisted across the 14 categories.

Today’s Media Managing Director David Opie said of the shortlist announcement:

“In its first year the shortlist is everything we had hoped it would be; a recognition of firms up and down the country, from large to boutique, who deliver excellence in legal expertise, client service and staff wellbeing.

We look forward to welcoming the cream of the family community to Bristol to celebrate with us in this inaugural year of The British Family Law Awards.”
