Edward Cooke receives John Cornwell Award for tireless work to retain local court provision

29 April 2018

Family Law Week reports as Edward Cooke receives the prestigious John Cornwell award at Resolution's 30th National Conference in Bristol, for his work to protect his local court. The John Cornwell award recognises outstanding achievement in the family law field, over and above his or her commitment to Resolution's Code of Practice. Resolution members are dedicated to resolving issues in a non-confrontational manner and to keeping the interests of any children in the process at heart.

Edward was presented with this prestigious award in recognition of his long battle to protect access to family justice in the local area. Since the announcement in July 2015 of the closurer of Chichester Combined Court, Edward has been working with MPs and others to campaign online, arrange meetings and speak out in the press to raise awareness.
